Style
Contributions should meet several criteria concerning style (APA). In this section we highlight the most important criteria:
Printerfriendly version of the criteria ![]()
The final version of your contribution needs to be sent to us in "camera ready" format. This means that fonts for titles and text, layout on the page, figures and tables, references and so forth need to be exactly as specified by the Sig Writing Publication Server template. For more information, you can download the template and guidelines.
References should follow APA style. For example: De La Paz, S., Swanson, P. N., & Graham, S. (1998). The contribution of executive control to the revising by students with writing and learning difficulties. Journal of Educational Psychology, 90(3), 448-460.
Figures (graphs and other diagrams) need to be inserted as "picture" files rather than as embedded graphics or excel objects. However, please, make sure that these do not make your file size very large. You may want to seek some technical help with this. Please also send us original files for these graphics (in Excel, for example). Please label these files with the author first name (or part thereof) and the figure number.
Tables must be created, or recreated, and inserted in the document using the Sig Writing Publications template. There is no need to send these as separate files.
If you wish to include an acknowledgements section, please place this after the body of your chapter but before the references.
